I have had this can opener for over 2 years at this point and it shows no sign of giving out. It's easy to use and leaves no sharp edge. I have since purchased only Cuisipro items for my kitchen. You just can't beat the 25 year warranty! I have had a couple of safety can openers that stop working after about a year. Typically I paid about $10 each. Take the plunge and spend $25 for this can opener. That's ~$1/year! If it stops working, Cuisipro will replace it. However, I see no sign of it ever needing replacing. Top quality product!
